You have the ability to manage your cookies and similar tracking technologies preference. For more information on how to administer your preference, please see “How to Manage Your Cookies” section below.

Types of Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies at Boots Photo
  • Session and Persistent: We use session and persistent cookies. Session cookies exist only during one session. They disappear when you close your browser, restart, or turn off your device. Persistent cookies remain on your device after you close your browser, restart, or turn off your device.

  • Advertising: We partner with third-parties to manage our marketing, advertising, and other promotional activities. Our third-party partners may use cookies and other tracking technologies in order to market products or services, manage promotional campaigns, monitor which ads have been served to your browser, which webpages you were viewing when such ads were delivered, and provide you advertising based upon your browsing activities and interests. If you would like to learn more about this practice and your choices please visit the Network Advertising Initiative website here.

    • In particular, and with your prior consent, we use Facebook Pixel. This pixel collects information about the usage of our website (e.g. products you have looked at) and transmits this information to the social network Facebook, Inc. Facebook uses this information for advertising and profiling purposes. The Facebook Pixel allows us to target you with personalized advertisements in the Facebook network. If you want to stop this tool from collecting data, you can opt-out here
  • Transactional and Functionality

    • Server Logs: We use cookies and other tracking technologies (i.e., scripts, tags) to collect and store your IP address, IMEI device number, pixels, and device information in server logs to support the functionality of our Services and provide information to you that is relevant and error free.

    • Device Identifiers: When you access our Services through a mobile device, we may access, collect, monitor and/or remotely store such device identifiers as “universally unique identifiers (UUID)”. These are small data files stored on or associated with your device. This may be used to help you log in faster and enhance your navigation of the Boots Photo Services. These device identifiers also collect your location data, to provide you with location-based services such as retail store locations near you, only when you consent to location services.

    • Transaction Identifiers: When you use our Services, we may access, collect, or store transaction identifiers, an internal identification number that we assign to our customers. This enables us to understand and review your transactions with Boots Photo.

  • Analytics

    • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to measure how you interact with our Services and to improve your user experience. To learn more about Google Analytics privacy practices and opt-out mechanisms please visit the Google Analytics Security and Privacy principles page here.

    • Facebook Analytics: We use Facebook Analytics to measure how you interact with our Services and to improve your user experience. To learn more about Facebook Analytics privacy practices and opt-out mechanisms please visit the Facebook Data Policy page here.

    • Monetate: We use Monetate as a messaging engine to push relevant messages, product recommendations, offers, and creative content on our website. Monetate helps us quickly assemble data from a variety of sources into a complete view of our customer that can power targeted omnichannel experiences in real-time. To learn more about Monetate privacy practices and opt-out mechanisms please visit Monetate page here.

  • Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)

    • Services Functionality: Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier that are used to track the online movements of website users. Boots Photo uses clear gifs in combination with cookies to help us better manage content of the Services by informing us what content is effective.

    • Affiliate Programs: We also use clear gifs to support affiliate programs administered by third-party companies. These programs allow other web services to offer special Boots Photo deals to their customers. When a customer signs-up for the Services via an affiliate link on a non-Boots Photo website, we display a clear gif which causes a cookie to be passed to the third-party administrator for accounting purposes. That means, for example, that if a person visited www.companyX.com and from www.companyX.com clicked on a “Sign-up for Boots Photo” link and completed the Boots Photo sign-up process, we would display a clear gif causing a cookie to be transferred to the affiliate program administrator. This cookie contains an ID number that tells the third-party administrator that a new user was sent to Boots Photo from www.companyX.com.

    • HTML Emails: We use clear gifs in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by the recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.
