This Cookie Notice explains the cookies used by Snapfish UK Ltd, located at Dakota House, Brunel Road, Newton Abbot, TQ12 4PB (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and the choices you have with regard to those cookies. We operate this website under the Boots name.
What Are Cookies and Why Do We Use Them?
When you first access the Services and if we introduce any new cookies, we may capture your consent to the use of certain cookies set out in this notice. If you reject cookies, we will not set any cookies on your device, except the “strictly necessary” cookies detailed below, including a cookie to remember that you do not want any cookies set when you revisit the Services. You have the ability to manage your cookies and similar tracking technologies preference. For more information on how to administer your preference, please see “How to Manage Your Cookies” section below.
Session and Persistent: We use session and persistent cookies. Session cookies exist only during one session. They disappear when you close your browser, restart, or turn off your device. Persistent cookies remain on your device after you close your browser, restart, or turn off your device.
Transactional and Functionality
Device Identifiers: When you access our Services through a mobile device, we may access, collect, monitor and/or remotely store such device identifiers as “universally unique identifiers (UUID)”. These are small data files stored on or associated with your device. This may be used to help you log in faster and enhance your navigation of the Snapfish Services. These device identifiers also collect your location data, to provide you with location-based services such as retail store locations near you, only when you consent to location services.
Transaction Identifiers: When you use our Services, we may access, collect, or store transaction identifiers, an internal identification number that we assign to our customers. This enables us to understand and review your transactions with Snapfish.
Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to measure how you interact with our Services and to improve your user experience. To learn more about Google Analytics privacy practices and opt-out mechanisms please visit the Google Analytics Security and Privacy principles page here.
Facebook Analytics: We use Facebook Analytics to measure how you interact with our Services and to improve your user experience. To learn more about Facebook Analytics privacy practices and opt-out mechanisms please visit the Facebook Data Policy page here.
Adobe Analytics: We use Adobe Analytics to measure how you interact with our Services and to improve your user experience. To learn more about Adobe Analytics privacy practices and opt-out mechanisms please visit the Adobe Privacy Center page here.
Monetate. We use Monetate as a messaging engine to push relevant messages, product recommendations, offers, and creative content on our website. Monetate helps us quickly assemble data from a variety of sources into a complete view of our customer that can power targeted omnichannel experiences in real-time. To learn more about Monetate privacy practices and opt-out mechanisms please visit Monetate page here.
Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)
Services Functionality: Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier that are used to track the online movements of website users. Snapfish uses clear gifs in combination with cookies to help us better manage content of the Services by informing us what content is effective.
Affiliate Programs: We also use clear gifs to support affiliate programs administered by third-party companies. These programs allow other web services to offer special Snapfish deals to their customers. When a customer signs-up for the Services via an affiliate link on a non-Snapfish website, we display a clear gif which causes a cookie to be passed to the third-party administrator for accounting purposes. That means, for example, that if a person visited “www.companyX.com” and from “www.companyX.com” clicked on a “Sign-up for Snapfish” link and completed the Snapfish sign-up process, we would display a clear gif causing a cookie to be transferred to the affiliate program administrator. This cookie contains an ID number that tells the third-party administrator that a new user was sent to Snapfish from “www.companyX.com.”
HTML Emails: We use clear gifs in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by the recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.
Each browser provides different mechanisms for managing cookies. Look at your browser’s help menu to determine the best way to modify your browser’s cookie storage. For more information about how to control or delete cookies, visit www.aboutcookies.org.
Please note that we may use so-called opt-out cookies in order to remember your opt-out selection. This cookie relates to a specific device or browser and is thus valid only for the device or browser used at the time of your selection. If you use several devices or browsers, you must opt-out on every device and in every browser used.
We do not respond to web browser “Do-Not-Track” signals.
Our website embeds content and features from third-party websites. We do not control these third-party websites and associated cookies. We encourage you to read the privacy notices of these sites to understand their privacy practices and your options.
We periodically update this Cookie Notice to account for changed legal and operational circumstances, to describe new cookies and tracking technologies, and how those changes affect our use of your information. We encourage you to review this Cookie and Privacy Notice each time you use our Services. If we are going to use information in a manner that is materially different from that stated at the time of collection or make any material changes in our privacy practices, we will notify you. We will post those changes through a prominent notice on our website. If you do not agree to the changes made to this Cookie Notice, we recommend that you stop using our services or disable your cookies.
